BASED ON A REAL STORY
The story is based on Jaron Weatherly's Italian grandmother, Jennie Ardine, who moved from Sicily, Italy to America in 1923. In the film, Jennie prepares to leave her home and board a passenger ship to New York City as she spends her last night in Italy surrounded by food and family.

Jennie marked a pioneering achievement for Regent University's animation school, involving 40+ students who collaborated over 13 months to create the film. The project emboldened both the program and its students.
